Welcome to the Charles S. Rushe Middle School website!  We hope you find this site useful in providing information about our school.  We are proud of the tradition of excellence and the high quality educational opportunities we offer our students.  Our mission is to provide a positive, safe environment that promotes literacy throughout the curriculum to prepare students to be life long learners in a global community. Bringing this mission to fruition takes teamwork.   Our team includes students and their families, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community and business partners all focusing on student achievement and school improvement.

Teachers and staff at Charles S. Rushe Middle School actively engage students in an array of learning experiences that broaden all students academically and culturally.  We are proud of the achievements of our students, not only by their outstanding performance on state assessments but also as evidenced by the accolades they have received in a number of district and state competitions including Stem Fair, TedX, NHD History Fair and Odyssey of the Mind.   In addition, our athletic programs at Charles S. Rushe Middle School provide students the opportunity to learn the importance of life long fitness and team building skills.

We are equally proud of the business partnerships and the parent support we have garnered at Rushe Middle School.  Through the School Advisory Council (SAC), Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) and other such organizations, we are able to further our mission in ways that would not be possible without their support.  We value the input and feedback we receive from parents and community members, and we appreciate the ongoing support of these groups.

As a high achieving school, we will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to meet the needs of all students. Again, we welcome you to our site.  If you need information that is not available on our site, please contact us.

Sincerely,

David Salerno, Principal
