Student Government Association

Provide leadership opportunities for students. The Student Government elected officials will serve as a bridge between the student body and school administration, to promote student involvement, and to be of service to the school and community. Sponsor: Jessica Cerreta

Yearbook Club

Sponsor: Ms. S. Smith

Students learn the fundamental skills in research, copy-writing, photography, theme development and design required to produce an annual publication that provide lasting memories for students, families, and staff.

Students who are interested in becoming members must apply first. Applications are accessible here and copies are located in the front office and MUST be turned in NO LATER than August 31st.

Junior Thespians Troupe 89479

This club will provide students the opportunity to explore or enhance their theatrical skills, playwright, as well as set and design skills. Students will explore various plays and work on thespian skills, one acts, or as a cast creating theatre productions. Students will increase their knowledge of theatre terminology as well as acting skills. The activities should align with the standards and curriculum of a secondary theatre/drama curriculum.

Membership by invitation based on point system set by the National Thespian Association.

Thespians are encouraged to participate in the Junior Thespian Festival each November.

Civil Air Patrol

Civil Air Patrol, the civilian auxiliary unit of the United States Air Force, is an outstanding opportunity that allows youth to explore different career fields, such as being a pilot, providing disaster relief and emergency services, or serving their nation in uniform.

The Sunlake High School Cadet Squadron, Unit FL-828 meetings for the Charlie Flight (Rushe students) are held after school on Wednesdays from 2pm-3:30pm in the Aerospace classroom at SLHS, room 4-140. During these meetings, students will receive lessons in Aerospace, Character Development, Leadership, Physical Training, and other Cadet programs and activities to support the mission to serve their community, state, and nation.

A community-service program for middle school students worldwide. It is an international student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. The Builders Club vision is to develop competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service. We meet twice a month in the Cafeteria and perform various volunteer activities within our school community and some outside organizations.
